| Head Of The
Department |
The
first head of the department Professor Dr. Mansoob Ahmad Khan,
MBBS, M. Phil Anatomy with thirty five years teaching
experience, worked very hard with his team to create and
organize the various sections like museum, histology lab,
dissection hall, mortuary, preparation room for specimens and
demonstration room.
The present head of the department Professor Dr. Athar Maqbool, MBBS,
M. Phil Anatomy having twenty two years of teaching experience
joined the department on March 1, 2009.

| Facilities |
| The
department has created and organized the various sections like
museum, histology lab, dissection hall, mortuary, preparation
room for specimens and demonstration room. The college
administration also played an important role by providing
microscopes, histology slides, models and mortuary
refrigerators.
Department was held in high esteem by PMDC during his first
visit in July 2006 to the institution |

| Achievements |
| In
first year MBBS, 100 students were being admitted every year but
from this year
(session 2010 - 2011) the Govt. of the Punjab has
increased the admission to 150 students. Five students were able
to get distinction in Anatomy and the college remained on the
top in 1st Prof MBBS part-I & part-II Exams among all the UHS
affiliated colleges in 2005 & 2006. It was a remarkable
achievement for such a newly established college. |

| In the eve of distribution of best employee award, an annual "Bara Khana" is arranged in the department in which all the teachers, lab staff, and menial staff members participate. At this event the Principal, Sheikh Zayed Medical College is invited as a chief guest and he distributes prizes and honour certificates to the employees. |
