Facilities

The ward consisted of 32 beds, 11 beds for male and female each. Each. Endourology instruments like Cystoscope Resectoscope, urethrotome and stone punch were available for minimal invasive surgery. Now-a-days urology ward consists of 26 beds, 16 beds for males and 10 beds for females. We have an Ultrasound Machine which is used for percuteneous nephrostomy-A life saving procedure in case of bilaterally obstructed kidneys and for a patient with single kidney having obstructive uropathy. There are advanced endo- urological instruments like uretro-renoscope, lithoclast and nephroscope. We have started percutanous nepphrolithotomy (PCNL) and; panning for laproscopic urology and renal renal transplantation surgery in near future.

Achievements

We are receiving all the urological emergencies directly in the Urology Ward and for that purpose we have suprapubic Cystostomy Set and a portable Ultrasound Machine. We have an Ultrasound Machine which is used for percuteneous nephrostomy-A life saving procedure in case of obstructive uropathy and for a patient with single kidney having anuria. There are advanced endo-urological instruments like uretro-renoscope, lithoclast and nephroscope. We have started percutanous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) and planning for laproscopic urology and renal transplantation surgery in near future.
