2nd convocation of the Sheikh Zayed Medical College (SZMC) was held at Sheikh Khalifa School Auditorium, Rahim Yar Khan on 22 April, 2014. The Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif honoured this auspicious occasion as the chief guest. Dr. Ijaz Muneer Secretary Government of the Punjab, Health Department also joined and Maj. Gen. (Rtd) Muhammad Aslam, the Vice Chancellor University of Health Sciences, Lahore administered the oath and conferred the degrees / robe to graduates participants. Ch. Muhammad Munir, the Chairman Board of Management, members of BOM, the faculty members of SZMC, the dignitaries of the City Rahim Yar Khan, fresh graduate with their parents and medical students of this college participated in the ceremony. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saeed, Principal Sheikh Zayed Medical College presented the working report of the college. The Principal informed that PCR lab, MRI facility, New Emergency block, CCU and cardiac surgery department has been started in the hospital. The Principal remarked that this is the memorable day in the history of Sheikh Zayed Medical College, Rahim yar Khan. The 6th batch of graduates has passed out from Sheikh Zayed Medical College. By the grace of almighty Allah, we are training medical graduates, who are not only well versed with medical knowledge and clinical skills but also full of missionary zeal and enthusiasm to serve the humanity, regardless of any boundary of religion, cast and creed. The principal also presented the pending issues of SZMC/H, especially approving special incentive for non- doctors employees and regularization of staff working on BOM created posts with the request to the Chief Minister Punjab to issue executive order for solution of these pending issues. The Chief Minister Punjab emphasized in his address that it is the time for young doctors to repay for to country by serving poor and needy patients with full devotion and dedication. The Chief Minister Punjab distributed medals and shields among position-holder students and Prof. Dr. Tariq Rehan thanked the Chief Minister Punjab for sparing his precious time for 2nd Convocation of SZMC and other distinguished participants, faculty of SZMC and medical students to make this convocation successful and memorable After the Convocation the Chief Minister Punjab also inaugurated the New Emergency and CCU, Cardiac Surgery ward and MRI Unit of SZH, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saeed, Principal SZMC accompanied the honorable Chief Minister Punjab during the visit of SZMC/H.

Annual Flower Show 2014, District Rahim Yar Khan was held from 14th March to 17th March 2014, at Govt. Kh. Fareed Post Graduate College, Rahim Yar Khan.With the blessing of Almighty ALLAH. 9^Th Annual Sports 2014 of Sheikh Zayed Medical College Rahim Yar Khan held in Mehmood Stadium from 8th Feb. to 09th March. Final events of the sports celebrated on last day 13^Th March,2014 . Five colorful stalls of different classes with their slogans were presenting their identity. All the viewers , students and teaching staff stood up in regard while unique “National Anthem” was played on violin. Principal Dr. Muhammad Saeed said in his address that games have very important role in healthy life and such activities should continue during the education. The players should have also sprit of competition. Medals were presented to the winners on the victory stand In the end, Principal Dr. Muhammad Saeed congratulated the sports committee who worked hard with full dedication.

A team from Pakistan Medical and Dental Council Islamabad visited Sheikh Zayed Medical College Rahim Yar khan on 3rd Feb 2014 to assess the sufficiency of facilities for the teaching and training of 150 students of MBBS at this institution. They were warmly welcome by the principal and faculty. The principal introduced them to the faculty and briefed them about the project. The team later visited library, lecture halls, hostels, play grounds, laboratories cafeteria, Wards and diagnostic blocks of the college and hospital. The members of team expressed their satisfaction over all arrangements and facilities.
