سیشن میں انسپکٹر خیام اصغر چوہان نے روڈ سیفٹی آگاہی سے متعلق لیکچر دیا. جس میں سڑک پر سلامتی کے اصول وقوانین پر روشنی ڈالی گئی. جس کا مقصد موٹرویز اور قومی شاہراہ پر حادثات پر قابو پانا تھا-
ایس پی رانا سرفراز احمد نے طلباء سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ آپ کی روڈ پر حفاظت کو یقینی بنانے کے لیے اس سیمینار کا انعقاد کیا گیا تاکہ آپ لوگوں کو روڈ سیفٹی کی بنیادی تعلیم سے آگاہ کیا جاسکے. آپ اپنے عزیز اقربا کو بھی روڈ سیفٹی کے اصولوں پر عمل پیرا ہونے کی لازمی تلقین کریں. ایس پی نے حاضرین سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے مزید کہا کہ سڑک حادثات ایک عالمی چیلنج ہیں ہر سال لاکھوں لوگ حادثات میں اپنی جان گنواء بیٹھتے ہیں۔ گاڑی چلاتے ہوئے سیٹ بیلٹ باندھے ، تاکہ حادثے کی صورت میں آپ محفوظ رہیں اور اگلی گاڑی سے محفوظ فاصلہ رکھیں ۔جبکہ موٹر سائیکل سوار ہیلمٹ اور سائیڈ شیشوں کے استعمال سے حادثے کی صورت میں حادثات سے بچ سکتے ہیں ۔ سیشن میں طلبا و طالبات کو دفاعی ڈرائیونگ اور ٹریفک قوانین بارے روشناس کروایا گیا.
پرنسپل شیخ زائد میڈیکل کالج پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد سلیم نے اپنے خطاب میں روڈ سیفٹی سے متعلق عوامی شعور کی بیداری پر زور دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ یہ کسی واحد ادارے کی ذمہ داری نہیں بلکہ سڑکوں کو حادثات سے پاک کرکے انسانی جانوں کو محفوظ بنانا ہر شہری پر واجب ہے۔ انھوں نے کہا ہے ایک خوبصورت اور مہذب معاشرے کا خواب اس وقت تک شرمندہ تعبیر نہیں ہو سکتا جب تک اس کا عملی مظاہرہ سڑکوں پر نظر نہ آئے۔ پرنسپل پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد سلیم نے اس پروقار تقریب کے معاونین انچارج ٹرانسپورٹ/ایسوسی ایٹ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سید عاطف حسین اور ٹرانسپورٹ آفیسر کنسلٹنٹ بائوکمیسٹری ڈیپارٹمنٹ ڈاکٹر رافع الرحمان کا خصوصی شکریہ ادا کیا اور ایسی ورکشاپس کا دائرہ کار بڑھانے پر زور دیا۔
روڈ سیفٹی کے اصولوں پر عمل پیرا ہونے کے عزم کی یادداشت میں موٹروے پولیس اور کالج انتظامیہ کے مابین تحائف اور شیلڈ کا بھی تبادلہ کیا گیا، اور طلبا میں آگاہی پمفلٹ تقسیم کیے گئے۔
