| Thalassemia Awareness walk was arranged by Haematology Division of Pathology Department and Department of Paediatrics on 09-05-2016 in Sheikh Zayed Medical College/Hospital, Rahim Yar Khan. Walk was headed by Principal SZMC/H Professor Dr.Ghulam Mustafa Arain. A seminar was arranged after the walk in which Mr.Haji Muhammad Ibrahim was chief guest. Assistant Professor of Haematology Dr.Muhammad Bilal Ghafoor delivered the lecture regarding prevention and awareness of thalassemia. He also explained the efforts of SZMC regarding Thalassemia Awareness Programme and Blood Donation Camps. Professor of Paediatrics Dr.Saleem Leghari told the progress of Thalassemia Center since May 2014. Prof. Dr. Mubarak Ali delivered welcome address and Prf. Dr. Abdul Rehman addressed for vote of thanks. Principal Prof. Dr. Ghulam Mustafa Arain emphasized on pre-marrital Screening and awareness about the illness. He appreciated the efforts of team of “Center for Thalassemia Care”. A magic show for thalassemic children was arranged in the end of seminar. Gifts and Lunch was delivered to the Thalassemia children, parents and all the guests. | ||
