DECEMBER 26, 2009 VISIT OF HONORABLE CHIEF MINISTER PUNJAB
The honorable Chief Minister Punjab, Main Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif paid surprise Visit to Sheikh Zayed Medical college / Hospital Rahim Yar Khan on 13-12-2009,visted orthopedic ward & dialysis unit of the hospital and announced grant of Rs.1,00,000/- for one patient and Rs.50,000/- for two patients each in orthopedic ward. The cheques of the said amount have been distributed by DCO. Rahim Yar Khan to patients on 20-12-2009, in the presence of Principal SZMC/SZH and Medical Superintendent SZH.
OCTOBER 10, 2009 A WALK ON MENTAL HEALTH AT RAHIM YAR KHAN
DCO R.Y.K. , Principal SZMC/SZH along with other faculty members, students of different schools, nursing staff of SZH and citizens participated in the walk. Dr. Khadija Masood, Assistant Prof. and Head of Psychiatry Department addressed the participants about the importance of Mental Health.

Inauguration of the construction of New Emergency Block (Group-II) in Sheikh Zayed Medical Complex Phase-II, Rahim Yar Khan by Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saeed, Principal & Project Director, Dr. Capt. (R) Mushtaq Ahmad (Medical Superintendent), Dr. Makhdoom Basharat Hussain (District Health Officer), Mr. Arshad Mahmood-ul-Hassan (XEN Buildings) and staff members of PMO were also present at this occasion. Project Director regards it as milestone in the provision of Health Care facilities to the people of this region. “The project has started with full pace after this historical event in the construction of Phase-II of Sheikh Zayed Medical Complex, Rahim Yar Khan” Project Director added.

Principal/Project Director along with the staff of Project Management Office (PMO) visited all the sites of ADP schemes and shows satisfaction with the progress of the work. He also added that the project has the top priority and all the work should be completed within the stipulated period.

AUGUST 17, 2009 The Commissioner Bahawalpur Division, Bahawalpur visited the site of ADP schemes and shows satisfaction with the pace of work. He also addresses to the clinical staff members for betterment of emergency services in Sheikh Zayed Hospital.

The Secretary, Health Department, Govt. of the Punjab, Lahore visited Sheikh Zayed Medical College/Hospital, Rahim Yar Khan.
JULY 20, 2009 PROF. DR. MUHAMMAD SAEED HAS JOINED AS PRINCIPAL OF SZMC/SZH
“Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saeed” has joined as Principal of SZMC/SZH and Project Director for the project “Construction of Phase-II of Sheikh Zayed Medical Complex, Rahim Yar Khan”.
